Exporting scene view with the Advanced Camera Tool

hi all,
i am hoping someone can help me out with the following issue i am having with advanced camera tools.
i am able to set and manipulate the camera fine, but when i want to export the view as a jpeg it does not have the aspect ratio bars or the camera info in the lower left hand corner. am i missing something painfully obvious? - it wouldn't be the first time.thanks
