1963 Chevrolet Impala
-
Last Friday I started to model from scratch the 1963 Chevrolet Impala Coupe Convertible. It took me a while to study the real pictures of the vehicle, some blueprints and analysing the chrome details on it. The interior I took from a 1961 Impala in the Warehouse, but as a summary, to see what's the fit on the thing. I will start soon to model the original interior too, very hard with the time.
Soon I'll be coming with some renderings inside a context, yet I'm in a very bad time. Hope you'll like it. Comments & critics are appreciated

It's beautiful of course. I don't know how you do it, modeling from scratch like that. I appreciate seeing how you develop it.

Jus' Kiddin'! . .that is awesome!

I agree, I would've gone with the 64 too. Nevertheless, it's a beautiful car.

Thanks Well, it's easy for this kind of cars looking more rectangular, as for a more rounded shape car it takes much more, due to the fact that you need more and more polygons and shapes to construct from scratch. The body took me only two days, the details are a very long story.

I made also the emblem and the place for the engine. Here are some wireframe exports.

IMO this is great modeling and even if it´s a quite rectangular car i´m quite impressed by the detail you´ve put into this baby. i also like that you shared your workflow.
i´ve never been too much into automotive modeling but this makes me think about a giving it a go one day.
