Color by group anyone?

Hello,
I have searched these forums high and low but cannot find a plugin that automatically assigns random colors to groups. I was sure I had seen this somewhere before but even my Google searches turned up nothing. I am aware of the 'color by face' plugin which is usefull but not what I'm looking for.Primarily required for exporting to rendering applications that require different colors for material assignments in the rendering app.
Anyone know of such a plugin?

I don't remember of such a plugin AFAIK, so I wrote it
First rough script here (french version also available):

It can colorize groups only, entities in groups only, or both groups and their entities.
It uses standard SketchUp colors or random colors.
Undo-able 1 step.
Usage: select "Color by group" in the Plugins menu and select options in the dialog. -
I don't have a need for this tool at the moment: I'm just incredibly impressed at your response.... from "need" to new plugin in less than two hours...Awesome
