      Hi guys,

Today i installed Artisan as i see very nice results coming from it, now i have 15 days to decide to buy it so here it comes.

When i make cube and a part extruded, like a simple chair shape and then smooth it with 3 iterations, its not identical on both sides while it should be right?
As i didnt move the shape to one side or another?

And i see a crease tool, but cant find out how it works, anyone worked with this?
Hope these are not too dumb questions hehe, but what it "should" do just looks very usefull to me.

      Regards,
      Michael

If you want identical sides you will need to model half then mirror. If you do a whole cube/model subdivide there will be variances. At least that is my understanding.

        The crease tool is invaluable.
Check out this penguin tut for some ways I used it.

            Hi KiraNL,

            Mirror... or
Make the HALF-Item you want to Mirror as a Component, and then make a copy of it. Scale the COPY of the Component by -1 in the opposite direction, hide centerplane (lines & face) then, put the 2 pieces together. I almost always use a reference (center) point, or draw a reference line to match up the items if they are other than square.
