Yamanaka swivel chair
-

Hi,
Here is a model of a chair to share with you. Found it in a design book, hope you like it. Kazuhiro Yamanaka made this swivel chair called "How slow the wind". There is a version with textile covering and also one with lighting inside the seat.
I put it here to show the modelling with Artisan (can be made with SDS1 as well).1 proxy

2 subdivided (3 iterations)

3 details added (nails, thickness with Projections Extrude Lines Along Vector, piping with Tube Along Path)

4 textured (UV Toolkit2)

Alex,
Simple yet elegance modeling. This shows how artisan made easy. good job and appreicated your share.James

Thank you James.
I actually just picked a chair that I knew wasn't too difficult to model. I bet there'll be more challenging stuff like "Model This" threads coming soon. I just like this new subforum on organic modeling.cheers

Well, it can be a funny feeling sitting on an electric chair.

(But of course, the model is definitely superb)
