It will turn out when it is high poly enough. Turning an arch into more polys is not that hard.
-
What do you mean "when it is high poly enough?"
-
I'm not sure if I want it to be more high poly. There will be more details and textures.

Well, when every detail Marian intends to put in is already there, he will see if he wishes to (or can) go for higher poly solutions for certain details.
A 12 segmented arc can easily be redrawn with a 24 segmented one (and then just PP the remaining faces away)

Yes, of course. The model looks fine, and there is no need to go "higher poly" as far as I am concerned - it is just that it doesn´t look right in a close up with the default number of arc segments.

For the moment I'll leave it the way it is. Later on I'll change it if there is any need like Gaieus said.
Haven't done anymore on it just yet. I've been stressed out by something. -

Ah, cr@p, I hope it´s not too bad. Being slightly mobbed at work lately, I feel kinda sympathetic

Thanks Numb. It's not that bad, it's just one of those annoying situations...I guess there's no harm in saying what the problem is.
So...my room mate got contacted by somebody to ask him if he wanted to work in some kind of firm related to publicity. Of course he was...he didn't find anything while he searched for a job for months.
Anyway the same person that had contacted him was asked by somebody else who I think was also asked by somebody else, who knows how long the chain is, to look for a 3d artist in Cluj. So she also asked my room mate if he knew somebody. He said yes, me, and asked me to write a cv and let him send it.
Of course at this point any real detail about the job was lost in "translation" and I had no Idea what job and for whom it was.
So I made the CV, and waited..... Next day I get an e-mail from Gameloft Romania saying that they liked what they saw in my portfolio on deviantart and I should do a test model for the job of 3d environment artist...You can imagine my excitement at this point...
Alas...it was not to be. I open the attachment...and I find out that I have two weeks in which to make a scene...in 3ds max no less...but it also has to include lightmaps, UV maps, textures made by me and alpha textures...for effects and stuff, etc the works. So basically this is what stresses me out...that it was a huge opportunity to have a stable job, probably with a decent pay, working as something I love in my country in the city I like....but there is no way I could do the test now or in two weeks.....maybe in a few months after trying to learn how to make all that.....
The bright side is now I know what it takes to become a game artist...the not so bright side is that I need to learn 3ds max

I´ve had more than my share of ups and downs trying to get a steady job, that I certainly do know how it feels.
Keep your head up, Marian. BTW I am getting a little impatient to see more of that fortress.
