Ruby C extension load issue in SketchUp

I have compiled a simple ruby c extenstion program using below commands
ruby extconf.rb && make.
The resulting MySample.bundle file works fine in irb (via "require 'MySample.bundle'").
But When I try to load it in Sketchup via the Ruby Console, and Sketchup crashes.
Please kindly guide me in this regard.
