Next Limit is pleased to announce the release of Maxwell Render version 2.5. This free update for Maxwell Render 2.x clients includes many exciting improvements and new features. These include:
· New Maxwell Fire interactive technology - available inside plug-ins and Maxwell Studio
· Sub-Surface Scattering improvements in both quality and performance
· Numerous workflow improvements including new scripting functions, new command line options and parameters, and networking improvements especially for running animations.
· as well as many other fixes and improvements
A full list of What´s New in version 2.5 can be found at http://www.maxwellrender.com
The most significant new feature in version 2.5 is Maxwell Fire –Fast Interactive Rendering. Maxwell Fire is an interactive tool which provides instant results while setting up a scene. Now Maxwell Render users can preview scene lighting and materials in seconds. And unlike other interactive style render solutions, Maxwell Fire is:
· Compatible with ALL Maxwell Render materials and features
· A truly interactive workflow – integrated in plug-ins and Maxwell Studio
· Entirely CPU based - no additional hardware required
· No extra cost – it is not a separate add-on application, and is a free update for Maxwell Render 2.x clients.
This new interactive tool was first revealed earlier this year at Siggraph2010, and Next Limit is now proud to announce the first roll-out of Maxwell Fire in Maxwell Studio, and the plug-ins for Maya, 3dsMax, Rhino and SolidWorks.
(Other plug-ins will see the addition of Maxwell Fire in the coming weeks and months where possible subject to SDK limitations.)
The release of Maxwell Fire continues Next Limit´s strategy to build on Maxwell Render´s position as the leader in render quality by adding new and innovative solutions to improve the workflow and interaction between user and render output at both pre- and post-processing stages
Tested and BRILLIANTLY seamless!
