Help with unhiding components.

Is there a way to unhide a hidden nested component, that is hidden by the component it is nested in?
ComponentInstance.visible=truewill not do it.I am trying to hide all except the selected component with the "select each component" plugin.

If a parent group/component is hidden you can't make it's child entities visible.

OK, thanks. Btw, how did you learn this stuff? Am I not studying the API sufficiently?
Addenda: OK, I get it, in OPPS, the child inherits the parents DNA:-)
