Another new integrated renderer

Nicola, welcome and good luck with your product. It is a big task I'm sure and takes a lot of time and effort to write such a program. I admire you for your resolve and determination. It's also tough being the new kid on the playground with the other kids being bigger and very territorial. Keep at it though and include the users in your layout decisions and I'm sure it will yield a great piece of software. Best Wishes!

It looks like you have to go through hoops before you can render; I find Thea far simpler.

I downloaded and installed the FluidRay demo. The first thing I noticed was my Irender Nxt toolbar was missing. I reopened my Irender toolbar and placed it back on the sidebar, then set it to open automatically when SK starts. When I restart SK, it crashes once. When I restart SK again, FluidRays toolbar is in place of my Irender toolbar, even though I set it to start when SK starts up. Needless to say, I uninstalled Fluidray demo. I can understand one application not working if another one is installed, but isn't booting off another apps toolbar an act of war or something.
