Beam Trawler "Sea Lady"
-
Throw a few scrappy arguing sailors on there hauling crab pots up and you've got a scene right off of the Discovery Channel.
-
Better and better,
It's a real pleasure to follow such a WIP

Loving this WIP - but check your night renders - the combination of lights needs to be sorted out!

With the gear stowed, as per your model, only normal power driven vessel navigation lights would be displayed.

Thanks John,as A skipper myself I am well aware of the light configs on ships,My Colregs edition comes in handy in such instances,I was mearly displaying all her lights to show that they are there.
Did the Booms at a trawling position, had to remodel all the lines and adjust all the blocks. -
Seagulls, great touch.
Itching to animate this with Vue open seas simulation.
-
whistles That is beautiful.
Thank you for sharing these...I absolutely it.

omg how can you do something like this in just 4 days? simply wow
-
Thx Guys,She has been an absolute pleasure to model, cant wait to get cracking at her interior!
Update : Exterior Textures have been baked ,weathering still has to be applied to the textures but that wont be to difficult I hope
Im Still not entirely sure what to do about the lights on the mastheads,Im thinking of adding them with the boom positions to display correctly when Trawling and not trawling.
These Next Shots are all in game at 30fps (After the Bake her Fps went from +- 6 or 7 to 30 on my 2.8ghz Intel Celeron 9600 gso ) -
fantastic stuff... better than real.
-
Thx Krisidious,
Some more in Game shots, added her bridge interior, still just a basic layout...but setting up all the bits and pieces so long -
You didnt really think she was going to stay clean?
Wheelhouse still needs some Weathering and a few odds and ends
-
Excellent...I love the night shots too
-
fantastic work! the worked look seems very genuine.
-
That looks amazing. Two questions, A) what did you render it with and B) What program did you use to make those textures?
-
Thanks Guys, Horseman A) 3ds max B) Royalty free textures online
Nets added and the rest is weathered, and ready for a bake
the Nets are included with the Trawling models so will not be baked in the Ships Textures due to them moving,Although the Stern net will not move so it will be baked in. -
Stunning, absolutely stunning.
-
Thanks John
Bake Complete and im Very Pleased with the results,Ive manadged to Remove 1 2048x2048 texture since the last bake and fitted it in with another as it was oversized on the texture, this has greatly improved her loading time to about 3 seconds. -
Very nice Marius, very nice. Going insane just thinking about modeling something like this.
Just so I can find something to critique, aren't the nets a bit clean?
-
Thx,those textures do seem pretty clean, but they are from real used nets.
Interior coming along ,In game shots,Working instruments etc not added yet : -
Wow. The weathering looks perfect.
