Your question is too vague. what exactly do you need? I am also an interior designer and there are different phases that is involved in the whole design process. If you like to model everything from scratch... you can always use all the basic tools provided from sketchup and use varius plugins to speed up the process. To model a piece of furniture, it is enough for some to use the basic tools to achive the result. I am not sure if this is the answer you need but if you be more specific may be we can help.

Most of the Interiors I see are single rooms or rather airy looking houses. I am an interior designer and struggle to us Sketchup for designing Interiors that encompass multiple rooms where the windows are not large and the chance to gaze though the windows and see the model are minimal. When you are trying to view/work with a space you have ceilings in the way, cameras getting stuck behind walls and it is easy to get bogged down with all these obstructions. Architects have it too easy!!!! So a few years after I first asked the question - does anyone have any tips or tricks, work arounds or plugins to help interior designs working on real spaces?

Are you not using components and layers and scenes for visibility management?

I take the slow, deliberate approach in my aimless wandering.
