The plugins to create points, that I used in previous versions no longer work in SU8. Does anybody know of an easy way to create points in V8

Do you mean cpoints? construction points?
If so, Didier Bur's Projections has a cpoint tool.
I believe TIG developed one also?
I take the slow, deliberate approach in my aimless wandering.
