Ship at dock

This is a never-ending-project, seems every time it's done.....I add something to it.
It'a actually 6 different SU files combined. Once they get larger then around 150 MB's I start a new one.
I am now trying to learn Rendering.

Well you have got off to a great start! Great model by the way. As far as composition of the model is concerned, I'd try not to crop the top of the masts off like you have done. Try get all the ship in the shot. Great stuff!

Yeah, great stuff indeed. Maybe you could work on shadows
MALAISE

great model which rendering soft did you use?
-
Using Kerkythea for rendering. I like it, but have been looking for something that uses 64bit and can be used on a Mac. I have 16gb of ram, but Kerkythea is 32bit.
Here's a shot with the whole ship.
I like alittle more detail though.

great model i would suggest more reflection in the water. the boat appears to float (in mid air due to low reflection) at the moment.
-
Amazing detail
You really have to tweak the materials, the renders looks somewhat "flat".

You should take a look at Thea Render...
(EDIT: Aaahhh... You're on Mac... Thea Render is only available as 32-bit for Mac, but there's already a 64-bit for both Win and Linux...)
