Hi all, I'm writng cause I need help: I would like to find out a plug in similar to applyTo.rb

      http://rhin.crai.archi.fr/RubyLibraryDepot/plugin_details.php?id=19

but which let me to save the modification I applyed to the single components, does it exist? I have to decrease the size of a huge file (80 mb), which has been built in separated parts, and now I must decrease its size, for a realtime viewer of it.

I'm looking forward to an answer...

Here you can see my model, which is still a WIP..

I'm not sure I understand exactly what you are looking for. But you might try thin: After the "applyto" has been done, right click ont he component and choose "Make Unique". Then it will save that component as a different component than the others. Is that you are wanting?

Lately you've been tan, suspicious for the winter.

I'm sorry I'll exlane better what I want to do.
I've got lots of columns scattered in my model: they are the same column wich has only been scaled in many ways. I would like to know wheter there is a way to convert in a single component with many copies of it.
Applyto allows me to do what I want, but when I apply the definition of the component to my single components (they are simply renamed with the same name: every copy will be named component#1.. for example), but it doesn't leave my single components scaled as they were before.

I could make lots of copy of the same compnent and rescale them manually, but it would be insane: there are hundreds of columns. I was wondering to know wheter exist a simple way to link every single component to one.

I hope I am more clear now πŸ‘Š

Ah ok, well I think you can still do what you want with the built in tools. Select all the components you want to have replaced. Then open the component browser. Find the component you want to replace them all with in the browser. Right click on the component in the browser window and choose "Replace Selected". That will then replace all the columns with that single component, and it will keep their scale. Hope that helps,

            Chris
