      Hi,
The release 3.4. of su2pov is available for download at my site: http://rhin.crai.archi.fr/RubyLibraryDepot/plugin_su2pov.php

      Version 3.4. changes:

      • Simplified interface of su2pov settings: outdoor/indoor radio buttons, quality slider added, less defaults finishes, brightness slider added, tweaked the radiosity settings to make the rendering slightly faster,
      • FaceMe components: better conversion to make alpha channel of images invisible,
      • Lights: 6 colors of artificial lights added, cast shadows checkbox added,
      • Image settings: more images sizes, 16:9 ratio added, bugs in radio buttons fixed,
      • Materials: custom finish removed, 24 presets added, 36 surfaces aspects presets added,
      • Save as dialog added,
      • SkyBox (panoramic background image) added.

      Have fun,

Coming next for 3.5: Save settings in each scene, HDRI illumination.

Yes POV is getting old, and you, and me... 😎 but it is still alive with regular updates. It's pretty fast too.

for somehow i just don't believe that povray could really do something like this http://hof.povray.org/
i think we should take a look at it again πŸŽ‰

Ditto for the 20 years ago sentiment. I downloaded it a few months ago to try it again, but I still wind up with that "early 90s" look to a render - pretty cheesy. I guess I don't know how to make it work right yet.
