The everlasting gift

So, my daughter is hosting a German exchange student this year. So the family was setting around the table trying to think of a gift that we could give the exchange student that would “scream” made or came from USA. After many suggestions given and found wanting, my daughter came up the gift, that articulates more than any other gift, “Made in USA”
And extra 20 lbs.

I was thinking maybe a simple American flag but it has a made in china tag on it so thats no good!

What about the 50 states quarters? With the right folder it's also the opportunity to show more about the country. To tell you all, I wouldn't put all the coins in it. It's fun when I'm in the USA to check the change for a new coin. But you can always offer two folders. One full and another to fill.
But true, it's quite difficult to find something for someone you don't know.

You want something that would be small enough for him to take home without having to go thru baggage check. .. Something that says. . ."THIS IS AMERICA!" something that we really don't need anymore. .
