    Good morning sketchucation!

Once more i hope you can help me out.

For testing an option for a facade i'd like to place some shutters all around the building- and then see how it changes the shape when i move the sliders.

Now, my problem is, that (as you may see in my attached file)

    1. hinge is fixed, so how to get it moving with the shutter
    2. i don't know how to set it all up correctly or which tools i should use to make it slide on a track so that it folds up or closes the window.
    3. place this object in a model and a scene and not everything falling down to nowhere.. 😉 (maybe this is not possible..)

I hope you understand what i mean- thanks in advance-

    _h

Are you aware that there is a Sketchyphysics Forum/ Blog which is not part of Sketchucation, where you may be able to get many of your questions answered?
Also, I think there is a specific subforum here that can direct you to that other one.
I am having trouble with staying logged in, so I can't go shopping for the links to provide them here.

I take the slow, deliberate approach in my aimless wandering.

        Thanks!

I know that there is this sketchyphysics blog and that they have a forum, too- i thought here more people would see it..

But you're also right that there is a special place within this forum, i didn't know that before- it's a sub-section in the extension folder.

So i'll post it there- thanks again.

May a mod please delete this on? Thanks.

This can be done with a Dynamic Component also. Then the user of the component would not need to have SP installed to manipulate the door.

Here is an example posted in the DC Forum:
