This will be my first 3D-basecamp.
As for the discussion on the organization of it, some say « The success of an event is also due to the attendees ».

I'm hoping to organise a get together the evening of the 31st for all SCF'rs that are attending, kinda like a break the ice have a few beers thing. Hope to see and meet many of y'all.
Davidboulder has sent me a huge list of potential places to meet close to the venue, we will settle on a place and time to meet soon. -

I will plan on attending too! Just say when and where. Make sure its a place that doesn't close until sunrise so maybe we can all skip getting a hotel room that first night

Gee this sounds like a plan, Pete!! I just need to wait for confirmation of registration before trying to book my 'half way around the world' flights. Just need to jag a flight sale and I'm there.....

Andrew, I also did not get a confirmation so emailed back to John Bacus and got the reply that as first rounders, we did not need a confirmation (however would have been better maybe so that we need not worry).

Well, I am checking out flights and it looks like I'd have to take all Tuesday off work to get out there in time for a Tuesday dinner. So I think I might miss the pre-launch party
But Day 1 everything concludes at 4:30 and there is no after conference events planned. So maybe we can do another group outing if anyone is interested. I think I'll be at the Best Western also.

I am leaving on the Saturday so I will be available to party on Friday TOOOOO!
But I will be staying in Denver with a friend so maybe I should get a car.
Any of you guys remember Ray Brown from the old forum and from time to time on this one? I nominated him and he is coming as well and he too is leaving on Saturday.

Phew!!! Reading Pete's post just made my heart sink. For a moment I wasn't one the list!!!

Anyway I would indeed like to be part of that outgoing on day 1.
Does staying at Best Western involve taxi riding to the meetings ? -

Does staying at Best Western involve taxi riding to the meetings ?Best Western just a few blocks away from Google. Downtown 10-15 blocks away, easy walk or short bus ride. RTD also has a bus that goes to/from Boulder.

Unless you just really have to have your bike, rental would probably cost less than the fee to bring it on the plane, plus the hassle to bring it. FullCycle is about 6-7 blocks from Google.

Dave look at the event website, it says:
