3D Basecamp 2010!!!!!

Sounds great.
-
shuttle is 27v US$, how much is a cab ride ?
-
I think I read its around $50 - 60 plus a tip (10% gratuity).
-
Tips in USA are 15% for service, 20% for good service and anything above for a services above and beyond (last part is normally reserved for strip clubs)
-
Geez.... I'll have to try and remember that, Pete!
BTW, anyone hanging around Boulder Friday night? I'm not flying out till Saturday night so i might have a look around during Saturday if nothing else is on.
-
I fly out of Denver Saturday at 10:35... oh dear. I will have to get a cab early am. I will be around Friday evening though.

Hey Basecampers,
Whats the weather going to be like during our visit to Boulder? It's winter here in Sunny North Queensland
A balmy 24 degrees C and I haven't seen a jacket for months....
-
Today was 32°c in Boulder, pretty nice compared to the 41°c in Dallas today.
-
16°c in liverpool and I even braved an outdoor pool today! Cant wait for some stateside sun I will pack my factor 50
-
Ok, so no Skivvy or beanie then.
Was there mention of a hike somewhere?
-
yeah google are supposedly sorting one out however I am going for one on the monday/tuesday or saturday day to here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Flatirons_Winter_Sunrise_edit_2.jpg
if anybody else fancies it let me know ill sort something out. im taking my SLR and walking boots anyway"he Flatirons on Green Mountain are within the City of Boulder Open Space and Mountain Parks system. They are popular destinations for hikers and rock climbers, with rock grades ranging from easy (5.0) to world-class (5.14)."
5.14 pfft i can manage at least a 5.22!

32 centigrade is not bad (I mean not too hot) but how is humidity? As it's the easter side of the Rocky, I would expect it to be rather dry than humid...
BTW Andrew (and Eric), I (and Rich and Mike) will not fly until Sunday so eventually we can have some after-party on Friday...
-
Could be in 90's or there could be a foot of snow on the ground, that is what makes spring and fall so much fun here. Best guess is mid 80's in the day, mid 50's at night, but either of those could be 20 degrees off either way. (all temps Fahrenheit). It won't be humid.

If anybody is still looking for a hotel I just got one in boulder that's pretty cheap £40/$60 a night. You get double bed, internet, fridge, pool, breakfast and free local calls. I think I might be going on a bit more of a budget than most others still being a lowly student but its a pretty good deal.
Its less than a mile from the base-camp so an easy walk here is the address http://www.americasbestvalueinn.com/bestv.cfm?idp=1668
