Hi guis, i hope you like it, every thing what you see in this scene was modeled and seted up for rendering in 5 hours.
Sketchup + MODO 401 + PHOTOSHOP were used to archive this result.

Front seats are a bit weird but it's ok because result is fantastic!

Thanks guis, does anyone else use modo with sketchup?
-
awesome, but dont you think the chair with the metal base looks like its floating in the air? I dont know... it just looks like...
-
5 hours??? wow you cannot have made everything from scratch? no way!
[edit] never mind i saw you made complicated geometry in modo...I was gonna say....there is no way you could model the furniture in sketchup as well in that time!!
love the bit in the video where you are making the vases! very quick!! nice tools!

Interesting video, unfortunately the most interesting part is missing, what format did you use to export the model to modo?
Another question:As modo is a superior modeler to SU (I tried modo already), then why SU? Except that we always need to have a nice workflow from one app to another. I already use a similar technic to import SU to blender. The worst problem is the topology of SU and I already see in your video that you are in front of this. But its OK if you're not going for some sculpture or smoothing.
As for the render, green plants are too green. Horizon has always to be horizontal. TV screen and the outdoor background lighting is not so convincing. But these are minor problems. The AO effect is not as it should be. As modo renderer doesn't support real GI (direct lighting only) -or it does?- you have to use some area lights for the trick.
I really enjoyed the video, you have great modeling skills. -

although he is using MODO 401, when he loads the scene in MODO, it recognizes all the Sketchup files. So I really have no idea how he did that, since the Sketchup importer should only work with MODO 301-302. Check it at 1:44

This was a very interesting video. Modo seem to be a nice programm.
One thing with your render: The Drawer couldn't open because of the shaggy rug.
