[Req]Assign Color to Scenes Tabs
-
Anyone can look into how to assign color to scenes/tabs? helpful when there are large amount of scenes.
Thanks in advance.

Do you mean to make the scene tabs have a different color? If so, that is not possible through ruby or any other known method. Sorry,

I also thought so but you never know as a "ruby outsider" so kept quiet until someone more knowledgeable chimes in.
I have them on Firefox however and can fully understand the use of it if it were possible.

Good to know that. Thanks for taking time to respond.

Another thought, How about add color to the text or colored symbols in the scene tabs? I am using the tabs for organizing my presentation. would be very useful when there are a lot of tabs to track. maybe there are other method to organize the scene tabs... any idea?
thanks

It would be possible to make a separate Scene manager, Martin has already done one or two for example.
If a custom one was made, it could incorporate color into its tabs. But that would require more time and ability than I have for example. Perhaps you should look into Martin's scene manager. Maybe you could offer some feedback for more organization and sorting methods (colors, groups of scenes, etc).

Also Chris Glasier has a Namesets (or cgScenes) plugin that can do wonders:

Thanks Gaieus for remembering my work. Unfortunately I got a bit disillusioned with trying to make the new version of the machine compatible with Macs, but now I have picked myself up and restarted making a new version from scratch (step by step method). These machines will enable their owners to build hierarchies of scenes (what I understand this thread is about) as well as collections of components (to allow them to appear in many different scenes without layer and outliner complications and restrictions).
