Why the Netherlands should be world champion this year

1. They have not lost a game, the last 25 games. Therefore they are record holder of the longest list off games without lost.

2. They have won al their games in this WC, Germany (Servie) and Spain (Switserland) has both lost 1 game. Uruguay played a draw against France

3. They have kicked out the number 1 favorite Brazil.

4. After 2 lost finals in 1974 and 1978 it is time to win this year.

5. Because i am proud dutch guy who wants to start a big celebration

I am confused, I just do not get it.

I have read a bunch of blogs and articles pertaining to the upcoming Germany/Spain game and regardless of the German outstanding performances they are still not the favourites to win.
The betting sites has Spain as clear favourites, the blogs say Germany peaked too early, they are still saying regardless of the quality the German youngsters have shown that they will crumble under Spanish experience.

Don't get me wrong, I like the fact that Germany are yet again the underdog, it serves them well and motivates them, it's just bewildering to see and understand this phenomenon, have I been watching the same world cup as them?

What am I missing?

Spain is the favorit because they are the european champions. But when you see this tournament, Germany has always play a not so good game after a good performance. First game Germany started with a 4-0 and the second game loss agaist Servie.

Spain have played every game very good, and for all the defence. That is way i think the Germans will face a very though game. The strongest point for Spain is the defence midfield. For Germany it is the offensif midfield. So the battle should take place in the midfield, and there are the spanish players better and have more experience.
As a dutchie i hope de Germans will win, because i think that we have chance of winning against Germany then Spain.

By the way, i arrived today in South Africa to see and join the orange legion, to hopefully win the world cup

Hi Henk you are wrong with Argentina...so mybe with Spain too. But I like the idea to see the Netherlands in the final.
1974 I was in Netherlands, in Ameland, where I saw the final.
But don't wish it...England, Argentina and at least Spain...

We are starting the day in South Africa with a little breakfast. And in the afternoon we are making a BBQ for over 200 people.
And then about 18:00hour we are starting the orange march to the stadium with about 25.000 people all dressed in orange.

Today the squad off van Marwijk is writing history, and got the Netherlands after 1974 en 1978 another final qualification

The Netherlands are playing in the great final on sunday.

Holland is a country with 16 miljoen people living in it, yesterday watched 13,5 miljoen TV for the match and about 75.000 people in Kaapstad (me also).
And also queen Beatrix watched in Holland, and the crownprins Willem Alexander was in the stadium with his wife Maxima, who is born in Argentina.
But the orange madness is also going to the queen, see the pictures. and she's going further like a dutch star

So every country is warned, HOLLAN****D will get the CUP..

I hope for you and for Spain that they will be our opponent in the final. Then we can see who will be the best in the world.

I predict for tonight Germany - Spain 1-2 and off course a goal from Villa.

I'm hopeful for Germany, but worry about Spain finally showing up for a ball game. I hope Torres is playing today as he has been crap this whole tournament.

Germany will be at a loss without Mueller, hope Troos is playing in his spot.

And if we lose I will eat calamari for dinner, ala Paul.

Congratulations to the Spain for there first WC final, but i am a little bit worried for the Spain.
They haven't get the scoring potential like Holland (Snijder, Robben, van Persie, Kuyt, van Bommel) everything comes from Villa. Against Germany it was a defender who scored. All those many chances who missed.

I hope for you the Spain will win, but for me Holland is the best.
When Spain win the world cup, i come to Madrid and i reach you a surprise like a dinner neighborhood from the stadium off Real Madrid (who is my favorite club in Spain)
