World Cup!
-
Bad reffing continues, the USA were robbed by the ref in the dying minutes, it was a goal, clear as day, no infringement, no offside, yet no goal.
FIFA need to get their act together or else they will ruin these games.
-
I was cheering for England, was hoping for them to destroy Algeria, but IMO Algeria played with their heart, England were flat.
The result is correct and the ref was good (first good one today)0:0 draw
-
Hmmmmm, very disjointed play from england that makes progress to the knockout stage looking precarious. Gotta give credit to the Algerians, they played well and deserved the draw.
So far the World Cup has been one of shocks and surprises!
Enjoying it immensely

This is becoming a friggin Solo-blog.
Today we saw the Dutch win without much excitement against Japan, quite a change from the Dutch team of the past when they start the world cup with explosion and fizzle out in the knockout stages.
The Aussies were a different team, very exciting, never giving up, bad luck with the losing of yet another player to over zealous reffing, I honestly think it should have been a penalty but not a red card. They kept the Ghanaian's at bay with just 10 men, well bloody done.
I believe Germany will beat Ghana next game and hope that the Socceroos can play as they did today and maybe sneak in with a long shot. -
It has been suggested in a UK newspaper that the England team would play better football if they were paid more.
Interestingly, someone else has suggested the exact opposite
-
OMG!!!!
New Zealand hold Italy to a 1:1 draw, this is the biggest upset to date.
And they deserved it also.In all fairness however Italy did dominate the game and earn the Oscar for dramatic falls and fake foul calls.
-
Is this the "final match" for the Germans.
-
Nah, it's the last one in the group phase only, Germany are not in danger. even if they lose they will go through by goal difference if either Oz or serbia win.
But my money is on a German victory. The real question is who they play first in the knockout phase, USA, Slovenia or even England.
-
France are imploding - players refused to train today because of the way Nicolas Anleka was treated and sent home. The saying - "what goes around comes around" springs to mind! It is such a shame that football is being sidelined for the egos of both managers and players. All the French supporters must be wondering what the hell is going on - I would hate to have saved for years to go to SA and then this pile of "merde" lands on you!!
-
Germany play 1-1 against Ghana and Serbie wil win against the ausies.
Rhe dutch team was the first team who was going official to the next round. And sofar we will play against Italia or New Sealand. Both teams give the dutch team no problem. But the soccer played by the Netherlands should be better. But perhaps when Robben is fit again.
-
Our goalkeeper Casillas has reacted somehow and has shaved,
it is a good start for our recovery
we are getting ready for tonight match against Honduras
our last chance now come on SPAIN ¡
-
Holy sh@t, Portugal shines, beating North Korea 7 nil.
What a lot of great goals.
-
The next game Portugal-Brazil is a game to watch. The number 1 in this poule could be the team to play agianst the Netherlands in the 1/4 finals.
So the question is who wil be the number one in this poule, i hope and think Brazil because there soccer is better organised.
Other news is that the dutch players have opened a cruyff court in capetown. A Cruff court is a fenced soccer playground where the youth can play without disturbing other people. Cruyff was one off the best players in the world. -

I would not be making such bold statements, especially in regards to Italy, history has proven that they are always slow starters in the world cup and strong in the knockout stages, and new Zealand has proven to have heart as well as super defenses.
I see Spain playing Brazil in the first knockout between these groups and the winner then probably facing Netherlands in the quater finals.

This is a picture from a cruyff court in

It had to be VILLA the one to break through
keep the faith

Whoah!!
This is becoming nail biting stuff, half time and South Africa are beating France by 2 to 0, and Uruguay have Mexico by 1.
-
Oh well, South Africa did not make it to second round due to goal differences, but they did beat France and they also do not go through so it's a loss but not a sour one IMO.
-
Real pity - 1 lapse of concentration and Bafana Bafana are out. They should be proud though - they got 4 points. Would have loved to seen them in the last sixteen.
