Building positions are now automatically updating

A common challenge for geo-modelers are imagery updates that occur after a building model has been published to Google Earth. In some updates models were unaffected, but in others, models became misaligned (some significantly).
Google seems to have found a way to "fix" this issue.

Saw this on the blog, too.
Will at least save a bit of time as won't have to 'report innacurate model' any longer.

quite useless imho. Novo Hamburgo had its imagery updated. My buildings got out of place. Google then told me it had automatically fixed the location. Guess what? Their position got EVEN FARTHER AWAY from the correct place!

Well, nothing is perfect. In my place, the GE imagery and location is about 6-10 metres away from GoogleMaps. I cannot add anything that could be included in both (not talking about 3D here) without one being out of place.

Hi AcesHigh,
Gaieus pointed me to this thread, and I'd love to get the URL to your model so we can investigate further. (Obviously we shouldn't be making buildings worse). Thanks!

Hi Vicky and welcome "back"!
Sorry for the "moderation queue/line" - I have now made you a member of the SU Team (with some extra powers!) and you posts should not be held back any more.
