            Thanks Majid.

            D-space,
            What is Post-pro?
I have problems understanding some of the words used here.
The big trees are 3d trees made with ngPlant.
Some of the smaller ones are blenders from:
            http://blender-archi.tuxfamily.org/Greenhouse

and the other one's from the Google warehouse.

              Hi david57!

Can You tell if you imported plants made in ngPlant into blender or SU (using TIGs OBJ importer)?
Have You ever managed to import "ng Plant" into SU? I have no luck with TIGs plugin, keeps me saying "No Geometry was made!" Have no idea how to get ng plants into SU. Maybe You do?

              Thanks,
              mark

Guess you solve my confusion. I thought your KT renders looks much like Blender so post-pro comes to my mind.
                Btw..post-pro is photoshop adjusments. πŸ˜‰

@ david:post-pro = post processing, usually doing some changes using an image editor application like photoshp (PS).
I guess you have imported the ng-plants directely into KT, and not into su . am I right?
would you plz share your ng-plant settings here?

                    Majid,

Some were imported directly in to KT and the ones from Google were exported
                    with SketchUp.

I have Encyclopedias of tree settings. πŸ˜„
Maybe if you send me a site were i can send my most recent big tree.

Obj importers in SU are tooo slooow and full of problems.
Its easy to export 3ds from blender to SU. This works fine.
Just have in mind that the names of textures MUST have names less than 8 letters, in blender/texture editor use save as to rename files. Linked texture files MUST be in the same directory with the .3ds. This - and only this- works here!
Blender is a fine converter from .obj to 3ds actually.

Very nice renders david57! I always like your trees. Especially the big ones.

                        Michalis,
The files are exported as obj files from ngPlant and imported into
                        blender as an obj file.

Here's the link to the tree file:

Has someone translated these trees to skp files. The images files can be made as skp components used interchangably on a tree or used in kerky as an instance. This would be nice.
