I like all the facts above too, but I'm taking a bit rethinking to the live video part...
In an average person view, that thing is awesome! The astronomy and tourist sites, I even like the interior views. I can explore the world without moving an inch! This time for REAL

Fantastic stuff. The presenter did say that historic images could be used. I guess they will be hard to integrate if the streets/buildings have changed much though.

Ah well, for those Americans couple of years is already history. Remember the "History Layer" in GE (just a bit older satellite imagery - that's all)
