Bankers and Bonuses
-
Mainly to UK members, and following on from the announcement that the Royal bank of Scotland are going to pay out 1.3 billion pounds in bonuses after they were bailed out by the UK tax payer.
This is a brilliant piece of acting.

First they argue that the tax is miniscule then that its a huge amount of money, how does that work?

Great acting, great idea.
Small percentage, huge dividend.
Do y'all over the pond have lobbyists at number 10?
-
We don't have lobbyists as such, not in the same sense as you have in the US with professional lobbyists having direct access to politicians. Over here, you need to be very clandestine and offer huge sums of money to party political funds to get things done - British Passports for a million pound + donation to the labour / conservative party.
In Nothern Ireland, which is unfortunately a part of the UK, we dont have access to the main parties in the UK, we have to make do with the religiously divided twats we call politicians. I as a catholic (very lapsed) am expected to vote republican whilst the protestants are expected to vote unionist.
We also have recently discovered lobbying involves "lending" politicians huge sums of money so that they can start their 19yr old lovers up in business - classic tale of a 60 year old wife of the prime minister of N. Ireland shagging a 19 yr old and setting him up in a cafe leased off the council in which she is a councillor and on whose committee which decided the winner of the tender, she sat on. Google "Iris Robinson" to get the full story. Hilarious.

For many generations we've endured a rapidly increasing density of hot, non-flammable and otherwise inert gas (like CO2); and unless we do something about all the politicians producing it, we're doomed.
...The only thing worse than organized religion is organized politics!
