I got no nails left, what a brilliant and fitting game for an Olympic final.
May not have the 'miracle on ice' status of a cold war enemy, but this one had deep rooted rivalry that made it a whopper.

Here we have a bunch of professional hockey players, being paid big bucks, by their respective professional teams, pretending that playing for their country matters.
Please spare me the crocodile tears, and those sad faces for only getting a Silver Medal.

Absolutely! I'm still a 4.5 - 5.0 Tennis player, and have been for over 40 years.
But Win or lose, I always have a smile on my face, as I shake hands after the game. And in a friendly way I remind everyone its only a game. Its one of those things I have learned as I got older. Whats really more worrying is the knees are starting to act up now and then. -

It was bitter sweet to see that ending..I was cheering for US, but i was happy to see crosby win it. He deserves everything he gets. Eventhough the kid is younger than me, i cant help but look up to him. He works so hard and does not take his success for granted at all. Too bad Malone didnt get the gold..that would have a been another great pittsburgh tie to it all. But cant wait for the playoffs and the rest of the season to wind donw, GO PENS

Well its hard to ignore the Pen's even if you are a Canuck fan.
I think what the whole Olympic hockey did was show how the game has developed world wide. It wasn't that many years ago that the dominant forces in hockey were Russia, the U.S. and Canada. Now you don't know who the spoiler might be as just about all the teams can perform a such a high level.
I hope women's hockey is allowed to get to that level with Olympic support.
