      Hey Sketchers!

Anyone out there know how to get this Film & stage plug-in installed ??

I have Sketchup 7, on Windows Vista, and when I download the plug-in and try to install it it tells me it was not installed correctly. I want to be able to drop the contents of the installer into my plug in folder ... but cant seem to do it.

Any help would be much appreciated!!

the film and stage should bean .exe file that will install itself. just run it and point it to your SU directory.

I had the same problem that is says it is not installed correctly. But it actually was. It installs istelf in the Camera menu in SketchUp. It adds the item "Add Camera" I think, and maybe one or two more to the bottom of the Camera menu.

If it still is not working, try to install as full admin by right clicking on the installer icon, and choose "Run as Administrator". Then try installing it. See if that helps get it installed correctly.

Seems like what happens is when I install it (even as an administrator) I get a bunch of folders (camera, lighting ... etc) that contain sketchup models (lights, directors chairs, stands ... etc.) No RB files like with all the other plug-ins.

Nothing new appears in my camera drop down or plug-ins drop down.

I guess I figured that in the contents of the folder there would be a ruby file somewhere I could just drop into my plug-ins folder.

Could it be that the Bonus Pack is for Sketchup 6 and I am using Sketchup 7 ?

maybe I didn't "point it to the SU directory" like you mentioned ... what does that mean exactly ?

Check to see if it installed it into the old SU 6 directory. Also check in Program Files@Last\Sketchup\plugins

Maybe it still thinks it should be installed in the @last directory.

this is the proper install directory for SU windows plugins(C:\Program Files\Google\Google Sketchup 7\plugins) unless like me, you changed it when you installed 😉
