Here are some random test renders using the new Podium Version 2 Beta. The render quality is 100 times better than previous Podiums. So much more colour.

I used wrong preset for this one, so its a bit noisy as a result of too much photoshopping to lift the exposure.

why don't you use SU 7 then? its free and you can still import dwgs if you download the dwg/dxf importer (free also)

you can have both su6 and su7 on the same machine if you want. I have SU pro6 and free version of SU7 on same computer. SU7 supports high poly models better.

Doh! I thought it only worked on pro versions similar to Vray for some reason. Thanks for the info 😳

haha! you can use podium on any version of sketchup although best to use version 7! beta is only for PC...can always use vmware/boot camp for all us mac users πŸ‘

              have fun!

dont forget it's still a beta-the very first beta so all the features aren't there yet. you can't, for example, control sun strength yet or render resolution....these features will be implemented later. but this is great for getting a taste of the new render engine. basically it will render at viewport resolution and will save the image in the same folder as your model. the sky and sun relates to the time of day so if your sun is set to afternoon time, you will get a warm afternoon sun and sky. no other sky options in this beta.

the render sequence is amazing...nothing like podium 1.7...im glued to my computer screen! don't forget to download the interior presets in the podium v2 sub-forum. good luck
