Good use of a limited space. I presume you live somewhere quite dry?

This reminds me of a stepped area Snohetta designed - not the design itself but that the building authority demanded they put handrails everywhere. The solution was to designate it as sculpture for which there was not any such requirement.

But of course you could not get away with it with the real stairs which must have handrails (particularly as you say the inhabitants were old).

              Just memories.

I was thinking about this. If you have the possibility to create stepped landscaped areas, it seems a great opportunity to use raised beds to satisfy both safety aspects and to help seniors keen on gardening but who naturally find it difficult to bend or squat to plant, weed and so forth. Interesting project; keep us informed of progress.

                Chris

PS How about thinking about ramps and wheelchair access as well ...

That sounds like a good idea Chris, The raised beds would look great I think.
It would have to be a hell of a ramp though to reach that doorway!

A ramp might have maximally 6%. This would need the whole Entrance range before the house. Besides a ramp was not demanded.

Thanks for the hint of the stairway hand rails! I will still attach. πŸ‘

On Thursday I deliver the project. We will see, what is said to it.

                    map1.jpg
On the map is into red the plot. In green a range, in which I may only plants, but nothing to build.

Here still another picture from the side. The house is not finished drawn yet.
