Farewell to My Very Sweet Friend
-
The bad news keep on coming huh?
Take my advice and spread it among your family, tell them she would be more happy where she is knowing all of you are happy. Simple but true, don't let this event rule your life.
-
Oh no.. . you're absolutely right. All of our memories of Phoebe right now are sweet and dear to us. We laugh and cry with each new story. (She was sweet, but a bit of an outlaw as well. She has stolen more loaves of bread than Jean ValJean in A summer run of Les Miserables )
We'll get through this, but it's gonna take a bit. Christmas will still be merry.

Glad to hear, glad to hear...

I'm very sorry for your loss. We have gone through this now 4 times in our life's. We have no more tears left to shed. My wife and I have decided not to have another dog, Its simply to hard on our soul to go through another death.

Thank you all very much for your support. I appreciate it very much. One of the things about this is my son is right now in Russia and Kazakhstan serving a mission for our Church and he doesn't know yet. We will be talking to him on Christmas Eve and will have to break the news to him. that is going to be tough. Thanks to all of you again to help me through this.

hmmmm RULDS2?

Tomot,
Please consider going to your local dog pound AFTER Christmas and give some unwanted mut a good home. Dogs live for approx. 10 to 14 years, that's their innings and I imagine they are happy enough with the deal. It would be a shame for a dog lover such as you and your wife not to share your lives (again) with a hairy little buddy. You will be glad you did

Oh we are definitely going to get another Dog. it's just that right now we are in the process of moving and building a new home. (that could've been a great cause of anxiety to Phoebe --she has only known the home where she lived--who knows what she sensed?)
But suffice it to say that when we are settled in about a year from now or so, we will be adopting again.

Wait! Where the render of the new home?
Rick

I have a render. . .but I did it a long time ago when I wasn't very good. (Im not very good now, but back when I was worser. .. ) it's kinda down and dirty but it conveys the idea. If you look closely at the back door you see Phoebe (or rather a facscimile of her) sitting there. Alas. . .she won't be there. . . .neither will that patio.

Your house looks pretty good David!
Keep up the good work! -
We are very excited about it. It's been in the works for 2 years-- we should've been in it by now, and all the Christmas stuff was put in storage in 08. But circumstances made it not to be.
Thanks for your good words.
-
Sorry to hear of your loss, David, we lost Kerby just a few weeks ago as well... no more walkies.
-
Thanks Fletch. she was great.
-
Okay .. .this was sent to me by a co-worker hoping it would cheer me up a bit. It did, and yet, the tears still came. I defy anybody to watch this without choking up.
Waiting for SantaI MISS MY DOG!!!!
-

I'm calling the SPCA, those folks left their dog outside in the middle of winter with snow on the ground!
Cute vid.

I know, when something like that happens to you then you get something like this really kills you.
