SketchyPhysics Rendering: Toy Car Crash
-
cool!
i'm starting to worry about your obsession with that SP chick though
-
Excellent - it is totally amazing what you can get this program to do!!
-
Logs, logs everywhere! Nice animation!
-
Amazing dude!!!
Well done all round, wouldn't have minded seeing that chick hit and dragged with the car!
No seriously really very cool! What a great test.
Funny i did notice the last long to fall on the left does a funny dance!

What impresses me the most about this. . .which is a lot. . .is that again. . .there is no driver and no damage to the car smashing into telephone poles. As often as I have done that it has never worked for me.
-
Had to watch it twice, got distracted by the girl.
-
Smashing work, Miguel!
-
Impressive work.
-
Great work Miguel!
I see a lot of potential for walking people and cars that drive around in scenes.
Hopefully, a lot of SP users upload a lot of pre-rigged ones we can use.
Maybe even a commerical package with high quality ones? Why not.
Recently I called for a simplyfied SP version, solely for setting up things like that easily in arch scenes. It would lift Sketchups animation capabilities to another level.

@d12dozr: I consider the time I spend in these experiments and solving other people's questions as "training".
@Rocky: This girl is the only animated character I've been able to find, so you'll be seeing her a lot until I learn to rig and animate my own.
@Richard: The dancing log at the end was really odd, but then again I often get similar oddities with SketchyPhysics.
@David_H: Let's hope "SketchyPhysics 5 - Monster Truck Madness" features car damage.
Thanks for the comments. I think I'll drop by the SP forum, as I still know next to nothing about it, except how to make things crash. The girl was animated by phonic, a Japanese guy who is a sheer genius.
