See article: "Our trusted industry insider sources say that devices sporting Google’s much trumpeted Chrome OS will start to appear in mid October..." (whatever it means - the site is from China 😒 )

It's been rumored for so long, with so many release dates that I'm in the "I'll believe it when I see it" camp. Will Sketchup run on Chrome do you think?

Since Chrome is Linux based, I doubt it. However a Linux version of SU has been on the wish list for so long that I couldm imagine the SU Folks finally start thinking about it.

However this Chrome will be for "light internet browsing" for the time being and I can also imagine they finally start developing something when (if) it really gets accepted and used by many so the OS can be made more serious, too.

Then of course, who knows... 😒

As of last week, Native Client has been integrated into Chrome. I'm not sure exactly what that means, but I think it will run .exe applications in Chrome (on Windows, at least.)

            Hi
