this topic also could be shared on the tutorial section,(up to moderators) and there are some tips that I've ignored on the Sketchup artists, and here they are:
1-when you are gonna using Ies lights , you must hide them before exporting the raw SU image
2- prevent such flat and mechanically renders... unlash you inner artist , play with levels, do some dodge and burn....over the final result
3- at the last step and then and only then use texturizer filteralso here is link to a similar trick by Tom:

I've had NeatImage for years for use with photos. When I did extreme Noise Reduction on some ISO-800 photos of a party I noticed what appeared to be brush strokes appearing as a byproduct, but it never occurred to me that the noise reduction process could result in an artistic effect for renders.
Very clever workflow, Majid... why insert artificial noise on top of an all-night-long render (or a half-hour biased one), when you can do a 4 minute one and take advantage of that noise? Thank you!

I really like the effect, the tutorial is useful to. The only thing that doesn't look right to me is the plant in the lower left, it looks to big and tall. Other than that it is impressive!

. it is just a test render of this trick and not a serious job , there are a world of possibilities in front of us with this easy and fast technique.... just take a look at this:

now we don't need those confusing , secret, advanced techniques... it has been so easy... while I personally admire those level of skill , but prefer faster and acceptable results... now you can mimic lots of these renders, very quick:

for sure not at that level of mastering , but in an acceptable way.
from the starting , till now ...has been a long way of experiences for me...and would be lots to learn again...so that this simplicity is result of those complexities .

I've used the method from sketchup artists, completely to the directions. I have to say its not bad. I dont think its very water color esque, i think it gives a more comic book kind of effect. I'd post pictures, but I'm new to the whole posting thing and don't want to mess up.
