      I'm building a late Roman basilica found last year here and thought just to liven it up and give some scale to the building (bla-bla... you know that), I'll make some people for the model. Surely I can't make as cool 3D Romans as Alan does but here is the first of this series; a late Roman soldier (don't expect anything you generally see in the movies - these are LATE Romans now).

      The cutout for the edge is very rough to keep it low poly; anyone cares to make it finer, feel free to add here. I have compressed the image quite reasonably but you can compress it even more - it could still bear some more compression.

      Download from the 3D Warehouse.

      If I have time, more will follow this (I have made some 1K+ pictures at least 10% of which could be used for this) ๐Ÿ˜ฎ

        OK, another one, now a Celt. This is definitely from earlier centuries. Also, I seem to have compressed the image a bit more than needed (and there are little mistakes with the alpha channel here and there) but for today, it's okay. I was also too lazy to edit the grass off his shoes.

        And the model in the Warehouse.

          Great! Maybe I can dig out some png-romans that I made and share them in the 3d-warehouse (if they say "Certe, imus ad domus negotiationis"). You are quite lucky that you could take real photos, because on the internet I didn't find much.

          And of course I have one with a horribly disguised italian policeman who requested 5โ‚ฌ for that.

                Some potential use of the (first) dude above;

                    I found them, but I think they are not good enough for 3dwh, some are only fragments (which I used for a photomontage). They played to much Half-Life...

                    ๐Ÿ˜• By the way, I searched in the user control but could not find how to change my username into "Aerilius". Is that possible?

                      These could also bee cool - too bad they are fragments of people.

                      In this camp, I took a lot of pictures with the very purpose of (late3r) turning them into a 2D component so I have a couple of usable ones.

                      (if you want to change your username just let me know and I can do that for you)
