Help With Protrude

Negative values don't work? What kind of hack wrote the thing, geez.
There is no reason I can think of not to support negative values. I do know it protrudes in the direction of the face normal - that is, the "front" direction. Make sure your faces are "right-side-up." I will go check on the negative thing.

I eventried flipping the whole model upside down...and the darn thing still protrudes the wrong way...
-
Would it be possible to upload a minimal model showing what you mean? It would help me understand.
-
Here is a mini file. I cut it out of the big file and tested protruding it in a brand new file. It still goes upside down BUT it actually works properly instead of truncating the buildings like before. SO i was able to cut and paste it back into the main file as a workaround.
Still id like to know why it does into the ground...?

Here is an updated protrude.rbs. Please put it in your Plugins/protrude/ folder and see if it doesn't help.

Jim that one is not doing anything at for me now. I get no protruding and this error:
Error; #<NoMethodError; undefined method `protrude(nil)' for #<ProtrudeDialog;0x81e49d8>> (eval);84;in `send' (eval);84;in `initialize' (eval);74;in `call'
-
Weirdness. It works fine here...
-
Does the color of the faces you select to protrude tell it what direction to go maybe?
-
Attempting to divide also gives this error:
Error; #<NoMethodError; undefined method `divideFaces()' for #<ProtrudeDialog;0x8247c78>> (eval);84;in `send' (eval);84;in `initialize' (eval);74;in `call'

Chris, did you put the file in the Plugins folder or the Plugins/protude folder? (It goes in Plugins/protrude/)
-
Yup, I put it in plugins/protrude and it overwrote the existing file.
The version of protrude I have is the one that is currently posted on your blog. Are you working with one that you had tweaked by chance?

I moved all of my development files out of Plugins yesterday. With the exception of the updated file, it is the same os the online version. But here it is again just in case.
