I see our imperiled friend's brave and scary thread has been removed. I am relieved he was posting today and "everything is ok". I was awestruck, once again today, to see the true face of mortal cowardice on yet another religious demigod. I heard of a possible power shift in the defiance tomorrow...if it happens. I watch with the world for what cards will be played next and who's hand will next be revealed.
I regret our two most powerful bodies of politicians' puffed-up and strutting declarations today. I applaud our president's immediate, pointed response...and his measured restraint.
I hope for a continuing, undaunted push for personal freedom in that troubled land, and for an intelligent and humane response by the opposition there. I pray for the safety and well being of our friend...and all like him.

I see the UK has now taken over from the US as “The Great Demon” in the eyes of this enlightened leadership…probably something to do with the new BBC Farsi service. Glad to see we must be doing something right; even if the accusation is straight out of 1984…invent an evil abroad to deflect from the evil at home.

I didn't read the thread that was referred to here.
My post above might be a little inappropriate because of that.
I just wanted to react to the contra Iran propaganda in general...which seems to have other motives than to just point out a 'wrong regime'. -
The original thread was started by an Iranian, right at the centre of things...who would probably take exception to the anti-establishment sentiment being referred to as mere propaganda.

Yes, the UK government protested to the Iran mission that they were NOT the "most evil of western nations".
