This started when I was looking at some Charles Rennie Macintosh drawings for the current stained glass rendering challenge. I was once again reminded of his ability to render.
I started keeping a file a while back of screen shots of various architect's renderings, and revisiting them, I was reminded of the variety of ways we communicate visually, from the simple to the complex, from the abstraction to the realistic, all with the same intent, to share initial visions. thought I would share, and perhaps others can add.Charles Rennie Macintosh Daily record Building

                        Great idea,

                        Bernard Maybeck.

I was always impressed with this charcoal style, so much intricate detail expressed in a few strokes. (Overall a lot of strokes but I mean if you can look in closely)

That's a beauty. I should mention that a couple of the Steve Oles renderings above are done in wax crayon. wow

I have some original sketches by Utzon, he was my graduate school professor, way, way, way back when........ Anyway, I have never digitized them, but will at least a few in the coming weeks, and post them here. I kept a 18x24 inch sketch pad next to my desk just for him to draw on. Our class included about five students. He said to me "I know what you are doing, its OK, just promise me that in my life time you won't try to sell these drawings". Great Architects have a way of seeing the common things around us that allow them to create poetry in their drawings, and their work.

Couldn't resist a Marion Mahoney Griffin tree render. In case people don't know she was responsible for most of Frank Lloyd Wrights renderings, and certainly the development of that style.
