Açaí berry

I started to receive this sh***tload of spam lately about açaí berry. It is so amazing how fast these spammers and their websites selling (of course most probably "fake") products adopt themselves to these new, fashionable things.
I don't believe that the whole, annual production of the world would be enough for those spam emails only I have received so far. Have any of you purchased anything like this from these "online drug stores" and similar places ("replica" watches, pheromone perfumes, "mens' health" products etc...)?

To answer your question, Gaieus, no I have never bought anything that was advertised on spam or any other on-line advertising, unless it is a reputable company such as Amazon. I tend to ignore on-line advertising, for the most part (oh, look. There's ads on SCF. How long have they been on there?) With all the internet scams around, I am careful about doing any business on-line, and just delete spam without even looking at it.
I've heard of acai for some time now - all the smoothy shops around here offer it - it's the new "thing" to offer lots of health benefits.

I need to come up some bizarre extract of skunk cabbage and sell it for $10 an ounce while extolling the magical health virtues of this concoction. Man, people will buy anything...
