You really don't understand the British.
Too much bling is a bit chav, and not what proper rich people do.
So it's rubbish with thin gold plating, real stuff but nicked or real stuff paid for from drug dealing! -
Seems like a very strange idea either way. I cant imagine any significant proportion of 'chavs' have committed a crime major enough to be worth reporting.

Chav crimes that come to mind -
Speeding
Taking without consent (a car)
Driving while uninsured
Using a mobile while driving
Having a body but no brain
Assorted crimes against good taste
Not worth much.Mind you some of the population have REAL bling, and BMW's (black and tinted windows), but strangely seem to lack a job?

Anyone driving around aimlessly in a black BMW with tinted windows, in the middle of the day is either a footballer's wife or a drug dealer. There's a lot of both in my neck of the woods. Judging by the number of such vehicles out and about, you'd think CIA Langley was just down the road.
