Rendering animations
-
Well, if you really want to you would have to export the frames as separate models and render them one by one. But that would take forever. Even a five frame animation would get annoying after some time. There are some people who have done it before, though. Search on youtube and you will find tons of them.

I added support for render exports, but no one has implemented it yet. As soon as one is done the rest will be easy. Send a message to Whaat and tell him you are interested.

Something like this?

Thats cool, must have taken ages with Indigo, right?
I hear Thea also has the ability to render Sketchyphysics, or at least will when released.

Each frame rendered 30 seconds. I think there were 96 frames. The resolution was pretty small (I think 300x300).

Vray can do it, at least with Vue/max/vray integration it works perfect.

Whenever a good SU plugin will come out that makes a scene tab animation from a SketchyPhysics scene, Fryrender and Indigo will be able to render it.
Vray however won't as they won't support object animation:(As far as I know,(Damian a.k.a Dalomar of) Asgvis considers it as not possible to implement, although Fry Render can do it already. I hope they change their mind because Vray is the engine you need for animation.

Hi guys i am new to this forum and forgive me if im wrong but i believe vray can render out animation but as frames (from scenes) that then need to be compiled. I am new to Sketchy physics but it doesn't seem to animate to scenes.

True, however the Vray for Sketchup version can't.
Asgvis states that, because SU doesn't support object animation, they won't support it either.
It is a real shame, as I have the feeling someone is preparing a SU ruby that translates an object animation (e.g SP3) to scene tabs....'Object animation suport' for a render engine just means the ability to take geometry changes into account per frame. This should be piece of cake to implement for every render engine.
The downside is a longer export time (parsing time) as those geometry changes all need to be precomputed....Basically for Archviz, we don't need all the fancy features Sketchyphysics provides.
Just some moving cars, doors, etc... is enough.
Moving 3D people billboards with animated textures would be very nice to have as well, but I don't think the googies will ever implement that. -

Yes, Vray can render out camera animation but not object animation (moving objects).
SketchyPhysics particularly aims for object animation. -
very cool whaat, we going to be able to play with this in the next skindigo?

yeah...this will feature will probably be included in the next beta.
-
Yay! Im going to have fun with that...if i can find enough time, of course.

Outstanding!! Rendering support has been one of the most requested SP features. I cant wait.
Thanks Whaat!
