            really? nothing like wright?
it was just a guess from someone that doesn't study architecture but it's not even a little bit like his stuff?
maybe i'm thinking of someone else though but i doubt it (f.l.wright is the guggenheim guy right?)
i'm going to go google some of his houses.

[edit] maybe i was thinking of this

Yeah, the Guggenheim guy. Seriously though, you're on to something. Wright's Fallingwater and the house of which I posted an image have something in common. (Which I didn't know before you spurred my curiosity.)

lol. And yeah, okay, there are some similarities between the images we posted. Though I like mine better. πŸ’š I've never grown fond of Wright. I genuinely respect his work, but I do not love it. Apart from his drawings, that is. Some of those are very, very beautiful. Still ... not as beautiful as the ones by the architect who designed the house of which I posted a pic. πŸ˜„

I don't know if anyone has even attempted to figure out the last building I posted but here's the answer. It's the Plummer Building designed through a collaboration between Dr. Henry Plummer and Ellerbe & Co. At the time it was completed, in 1928, it was the tallest building in the State of Minnesota.

Oh, I tried. But I had no idea whatsoever. Thanks for sharing the answer.

I posted a photo of Richard Neutra's 1946 Kaufmann House. It was commissioned by Edgar J. Kaufmann Sr., who previously - here's the Wright link - had Fallingwater built.

OK, Stinkie, I'll go for it- the Kauffman (spelling?) House by Richard Neutra.

As I'm not 100% about this one I can feel the shadows of my old university tutors looming over my shoulder! πŸ˜•

EDIT: NO WAY! You ruined my moment of glory with a simul-post! LOL 😒 πŸ˜†

Yay! πŸ˜„ You learn something new every day- I had never put 2 and 2 together before and realised that both "Kaufman Houses" were for the same "Kaufman". Lucky, lucky b@stard. I'm glad his roofs leaked! πŸ˜†

OK, another one. Clue: the architect is known almost only for a single very famous and influential building.

Jorn Utzon, Bagsvaerd Church. I have no idea about the one Pilou posted.

Neither did I - but Jeff's mention of FLW sparked my curiosity.

                                      Stinkie- v. impressive for a non-Scandinavian! πŸ‘

Pilou- Your clue is more baffling than helpful! Is it Vitruvius?

EDIT: upon noticing the GREEK text in the image... answers own question: NO it's not Vitruvius Jackson you fool! Was Vitruvius Greek? I don't think so... get to the back of the class!

Looking more closely I think you've been a bit sneaky- you mean the architect of the modern doorway. Is it Meier? Foster?
