[REQ] Script to Push/Pull a face to a point above it?
-
Hello everyone, first post!
I've been using SketchUp for a while, but only recently stated looking into scripts and plugins.
I am looking for a script that can help me automate a task based on SketchUp's Push/Pull.
I have a drawing with a huge amount of lines that form lots and buildings limits, and points that mark their height (in the case of buildings)
I have first searched for a script that will probably generate faces from all the lines, and i think i found one so that will probably be easy to take care of.
Next, I would have to push and pull every single face using the point above each one at the required Z value.
I have searched for a script that would do this, but haven't found one.Is there a way to automate this push/pull operation with a script? Either by getting the height of a point above a face, and extruding to that height? Or just extruding a face to touch an element above it (in this case, a single point)?

Welcome!
Could you please post a screenshot of your WIP so we non-coders can also try to figure out how to help you? -
Yeah, if you had a model you could upload that would be great too. You say uou have a point above the plane - is it a construvtion point? Or what type of point is it? I'd be interested in knowing. Also, where is that point coming from? Is someone putting it in manually? If so, perhaps there is another method that could be done to help automate the process even more.
