"Pikey is a pejorative slang term used, mainly in England, to refer to...people of low social class."

          Blatant stereotyping on my part.

Pikey could be classed as a prejudice possibly rascist term. It is my understanding that it is a derogatory term that refers to a mixed race gypsie or traveller that is not pure Romani.

              Various uses here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pikey

Sorry to hear that Remus. If they were Irish Travelers, you just could not watch some of them. But then again they have little or no education or opportunity so maybe theft is the only option they see for survival.

Yet another reason for never spending more than $50 on a phone... And deleting all messages after you read them.

Mine was $ 16 ("aboutish") The woman had to go to the back of the shop for it because they don't even keep such a piece of cr@p on show 😄

But this is my second phone this year so I decided not to invest much for these short terms any more.

                      Gai...

In my experience, the cost of the phone is usually inversely proportionate to how useful it is. Get a cheap basic phone that just makes calls; it makes calls just fine and will stand being knocked around. Get an expensive phone that does everything but manages to complicate its basic requirement: making calls. Also, drop it once and it falls apart.

Well I am not so sure always. My little warehouse was "vandalised" by similar people just before Xmass. They broke into warehouse, ripped through slate roof from inside and stripped lead value of up to £10 and in process made damage of £1500. Now no one can tell me that is rational. Probably they spend 2 hours doing that. SO I wonder wouldn't be easier to actually do day work somewhere for more money. It seems to me it is part of the lifestyle.

There is no IQ test for Criminals. We have Nimrods who write demand letters on the backs of their own business cards, checks or phone in bomb threats on their Caller ID phones!

What is really interesting is that if you total up the average haul from a bank job and divide that by the number of hours that person spends in prison for the crime, he ends up making about 35 cents and hour. I think I read that somewhere. Morons.
