I think they're referring to the lines around the planes the trees are mapped on.....not the building. You can hide any line on an individual basis..

i'll answer for him; sketchup gives shadow for the faces, no matter which parts are transparent or not.

Uhm, so...those trees which drop shadow just for themselves are cropped from that rectangular face? david57 just used png file for transparency map, but the face is rectangular? I think I understand... he must notch around tree to have proper shadow.

I guess this is the way to go, is by making polygons around the tree
                  with the line tool.

Really cool trees... once you edge them out and hide the edges, these are going to give your trees a great look, they might be too nice and distract from you building, I don't have a problem with that because I am a landscape guy, but if you are a building guy this might be a little bit of a problem, just have to see when it all gets done. Great work.

These trees are nice but I wish there is more tree trunk...they are bit short.

Thanks sepo, I keep seeing that the lower tree trunk is taller on T.V. and keep
forgeting to do that. Have been concentrating on the form or silhouettes and forget the
trunk size. Have to develop that skill.

I would say if you have about twice the length it would look better. Also a bit of varried thickness would be also better IMO.

Render is lacking, Computer doesnt have the muscle to do the job in a short time.
