          Dear Griffith,

Have you looked on the manufacturers website? They may have 3D models of 2D drawings of their valves. If 3D then you may be able to process the model so that you can import it into Sketchup.

          Regards,
          Bob

why don't you show us what you're working on so we can judge the type of detail you're looking for?

Jesus Christ I wrote a million things and my stupidity took over me and accidentally closed the window losing everything

Argh! what I just wrote a few minutes ago is that I'm working on a catalogue made for the town council wich they want to explain the process of water treatment. I have modeled and downloaded several pieces and I have it all separated but the final work will look like this

              http://i39.tinypic.com/15oxfd0.jpg
              Took from the warehouse

As you can see the level of detail it's not what you can say "outstanding" but it does explain itself. I started modeling some pieces but when my bosses looked on my work they kept drooling on the keyboard because they never saw Sketchup before, now they are asking me to model some special pieces wich are A LOT and for my great luck they need it ASAP. That's why I came here hoping that a miraculous link could be delivered solving my problems haha. 😆

At the end I guess I'm going to model them. I already downloaded some rubys so that would help. When I'm done I will upload the valves and fittings hope you guys could use it.

              Thanks 😉

                http://i43.tinypic.com/2vjwf4h.jpg

3D warehouse have plenty of valves wich I've already used and they look very good but still I need more and I don't have time to model them

Sorry for not specify what I was exactly looking for

I know that it's not easy to find valves like this but the internet it's so big that I wondered if someone already modeled one of those or have a link could borrow it me

                Thanks again

                P.S. Excuse my bad english

that's a good idea. 😉 i'd probably try modifying the existing ones, after all how different can they be? they have common sections; flanges, diameters, gauges... you could try this to help join or seperate some parts as well: http://www.smustard.com/script/BoolTools

                    Griffith,
I am currently working on a water treatment plant project, everything in it, pumps chemical storage feeders, controls, etc. I spent several days searching for the fittings and valves. I ended up buying a cad library from cadtoolsonline. It was about $200, worth every cent. You will need to model the bolts. I just made several different rings of bolts for different size fittings. You can download the demo and try it out. Demo has up to about 6", full version up to 48". I checked to make sure that they just weren't scaled up from one size to another, doesn't appear to be the case. I'll try to post some screen shots of the fittings and valves soon. PM me if you have questions.
