With whaats version you can 'crease' edges and vertices, this essentially locks them in place and subdivides geometry around them, so you can make sure bits of your model stay put when you need them to.

ok im sold im buying next weekend.

I am working in Sub Smoove and One thing I have always wondered is . . .is it possible to select multiple edges of the proxy for creasing or is it always necessary to do it one at a time?

If I make it look easy...It is probably easy

David, theres a 'crease selection' option in the SDS tool menu, i think it gives you the option to do edges, vertices or both.

OK I found a sub division demo but I have problems now Heres the link to the demo http://www.smustard.com/script/Subdivide

This script does a Catmull-Clark subdivision. Does anyone know if there is one which uses doo sabin technique ?

I dont know of a script that uses the doo-sabin algorithm, although if any budding ruby scripters fancy a challenge theres a good explanation here: http://graphics.cs.ucdavis.edu/education/CAGDNotes/Doo-Sabin/Doo-Sabin.html

Does it allow for Multiple Selection? that was the gyst of the question.

                    Thx,

Yeah, you can select as many edges as you want.

i think it would be more useful to have the crease selection icon in the toolbar than the crease tool. ideally if you had something preselected it would crease the preselection then revert to the regular crease tool.
