Component names

Is there a ruby out there that allows you to either hover over an object and see its name or similar to the "layer" toolbar? I have a problem with the "entity information" window is so narrow on my screen and I want something that can be stretched wider if I need it so I can see a components name at a glance instead of scrolling through it. Thanks and I hope something is out there.

Interesting idea. I think it should be able to make a script that displays the name of the component overlaying the SU Viewport.

I've been tinkering with this and I've got a working prototype. But it is a little bit off. It doesn't always find the component correctly. I'm not sure if I'm getting the coordinates wrong, or if its something else. Hopefully I'll get it worked out in the next couple of hours. If not, I'll just post what I have and let everyone dig in.

I posted the script here:

Please check it out, thanks! EDIT: And by the way, I fixed the issue I described above of it not always finding the component correctly. It all works smoothly now,

Dear Amo,
You can use Outliner to view long group/component names by stretching the box. If you have Outliner and Entity Info both open at the same time then you can easily select and rename groups and components.
